Overview
The MiniOX 3000 is an oxygen monitor made by Ohio Medical Corporation. This model is designed to continuously and directly monitor oxygen mixtures in applications such as respiratory therapy, anesthesiology, and oxygen therapy. It can monitor oxygen concentrations between 0 and 100 percent oxygen.
The MiniOX 3000 model features high and low oxygen concentration alarms that can be set between 16 and 100 percent (for the high alarm) and 15 and 99 percent (for the low alarm). The default high/low oxygen concentration settings can also be used. Alarms are also produced when the monitor detects low and depleted battery conditions.
The manufacturer recommends that the MiniOX 3000 be calibrated before each use. The monitor’s calibration function allows it to be calibrated against normal room air (oxygen concentration of 20.8 percent) or against 100 percent oxygen. When monitor calibration is required, the monitor produces audible and visual alarms.
The MiniOX 3000 includes a hand-held instrument and an oxygen sensor. The front of the hand-held instrument includes a touch-sensitive keypad. Its liquid crystal display (LCD) shows the monitor’s status, continuous oxygen concentrations, and preset alarm levels. Two red LED lights that serve as visual alarms are also placed on the monitor’s front face.
