The National Instruments VXI-MXI-2 VXIbus Extender is a single-slot mainframe extender. The VXI-MXI-2 uses the VXI-6 standard to extend the VXIbus architecture outside a VXIbus mainframe via MXI-2. You can install the VXI-MXI-2 extender in Slot 0 or in any other slot of a VXIbus mainframe.
The C-sized VXI-MXI-2 has a metal enclosure to improve EMI performance. These enclosures allow users to change switch and jumper settings without removing the module.
