Up for sale is a SPEX Forensics / HORIBA HSX-5000-7F HandScope Xenon Forensic Light Source. This portable handheld system uses a high-intensity xenon arc lamp and an internal filter wheel to produce multiple selectable wavelengths of light for forensic examination and evidence detection. The different wavelengths allow an examiner to illuminate surfaces and materials that may fluoresce or become more visible under alternate lighting than under normal white light. The HSX-5000-7F provides UV, blue/green wavelengths, crime-scene-search (CSS), and white light from a single handheld unit, allowing the operator to switch wavelengths without changing separate lamp heads.
