Its narrow tubular design allows vapor or surgical plume to be removed from the working area, helping maintain visibility during laser procedures. The tube has an 8.5 cm working length and is designed for use with compatible 8587A/AA laryngoscopes. Karl Storz currently identifies the 8587M as a suction tube for vapor removal during laser treatment.
