This laboratory centrifuge rotor uses a horizontal swinging-bucket design that allows compatible carriers and tube shields to swing outward during centrifugation. The versatile 921 rotor supports multiple tube capacities depending on the installed trunnions, shields, and adapters, including a documented six-position 50 mL configuration capable of operation up to 4,600 RPM and 4,000 × g. It is designed for compatible IEC/Thermo centrifuge systems utilizing the appropriate conical rotor shaft.
